Not sure if there are any factory updates. This could easily be checked with a quick call to your local dealer.
However, Garmin Street Pilot makes units that I am told are very easy to use. Use see, with the factroy Corvette Navigation system you can't input new addresses while moving you have to do it prior to the trip (or while stopped at a light.) With the Garmin, you can use it at anytime, (while the car is moving), but you have to mount it on the windshield...good luck...

I'm not sure about the updates, either, but you may be able to get some info from the Chevy web-site. I'll see if I can post it for ya. |thumb|

btw...I see you are from/in my old neck of the woods!! I was born/raised in Big Spring, but please don't hold that against me! |cheers|

I got a notice a few weeks ago for an update DVD for my 05. I think it was $249 or $299 for the updated DVD. I will be getting mine soon, but I have a few other goodies to finish first.

Updated disks can be purchased on www.gmpartsdirect.com you will need the VIN for your car. I believe they are up to version 4.0 (2005's came with 1.0) and expect to pay around $200.

Version 4U is being sold by Gm for $199.99.  Check on E-Bay I got one for $33.00.  Make sure its the correct number for your car.  Serials number are listed on the Gm Web page.

We got a postcard from GM, updating our nav system in our 06 Trailblazer, at no charge. This is the second update in as many years and received the disk yesterday.
However, our 08 Vette which is just over a year old, has not been updated, and the Trailblazer disk does not work in the vette.
