Probably a bit late, but it may be of use to others.
For true bolt-on power go with long tube headers and a good cold air intake. Vararam is good. The Hurricane from Breathless Performance is also very good. The Vararam will only really show you improvements from about 50MPH and higher. Both the Hurricane and Vararam will do better than the stock intake.
You can also add a throttle body spacer to the mix, and get a larger MAF. The factory MAF is only 85mm. The TB is 90mm, so that makes the MAF the biggest restriction in the intake. LPE makes a 90mm MAF.
Aftermarket exhaust systems will mainly be louder, but not much for power.
A Predator tune will give you better throttle response, but not more power.
So let's recap:
Cold-air intake
90mm MAF
TB spacer
Long tube headers
That should get you about 40 to 50 more HP, and 35 to 45 FT/LB or torque.
You want more, do a cam and tune from a good shop. That will put you up another 50 to 70 HP, depending on the cam and tuner you choose. I'd recommend the MTI C2 or MTI Stealth 2.
I put the MTI C2 in mine, and tuned it. I haven't changed anything else yet, and I'm pushing 440HP/380RWTQ on the dyno. It doesn't sound or drive like a stock Vette anymore. It will break traction with less pedal. I'm going to add Long tubes, and a Magnaflow exhaust this coming Spring. The Magnaflow is for a better sound, not power. A custom Cold-air intake is also in the works. My target is 500 HP.
