The black dash and upper door panels of my '05 are turning a bit chalky - almost grey.  I only have 30K on it and it's always stored indoors so I don't think it's caused by excess sun exposure.

Before I try experimenting, any ideas out there on how best to restore the deep black?  Anyone else have this issue?

Thanks,
Jeff

Are you sure it is fading and not just a build-up of "chemical" release from the car. If you notice, even if you don't smoke, your windows get dirty (foggy) on the inside. This same "residue" builds up on other parts of the interior as well. Take a dry micro fiber and wipe the area to see if if starts to clean it off. I just had the same issue with my 2010, and that pretty much took care of it. You can use a dampened microfiber cloth if not removed with dry. I use a little Adams Detailer for more stubborn residue.

Not sure that is your issue, but have not heard of fading before.

Give it a try and let us know your results.

Well, how about that - worked like a charm!  Sometimes the simplest solution is the right one.

I had tried rubbing a small area without results, but maybe just didn't put enough oomph into it.  Appreciate the help, Gang!

If you are sure that your dash is faded, then you can use some color shiner on that or may be need to paint the dash. I will tell you some good product soon which can help you to restore your dash like new.
